ABSTRACT
The article reports that the shares of Silver State Bank have been on a generally downward slope since an initial public offering in July 2007. Silver State executive vice president Douglas French has sold 168,200 shares of his holdings in the bank's holding company Silver State Bancorp. French has said that he did not realize the magnitude of Silver State's problems until the company obtained appraisals in March 2008 on the real estate that secures many of its loans.
