ABSTRACT
The article discusses the study on the relationship of obstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) to enhanced thrombin generation and platelet activation. The study examined the association of left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT) obstruction to thrombin generation, blood coagulation, platelet activity and inflammatory response in HCM patients with sinus rhythm. Results showed that obstructive HCM had a connection to thrombin generation and platelet activation.
