ABSTRACT
The article focuses on 34 randomized controlled trials (RCTs) investigating the efficacy of long-acting insulin analogues (LAIAs) compared with human insulin or oral antidiabetic agents in patients with diabetes mellitus. Trials found out that LAIAs do not reduce Hemoglobin A[sub 1c] levels more than NPH insulin but reduces nocturnal hypoglycemia.
