ABSTRACT
The article discusses the significant effect of volunteering on the quality of life of people with mental illness in Great Britain. According to the study, the behavior has improved mental health in more than half of the participants who had undergone the Capital Volunteering programme. Furthermore, the project also envisions to help mental health service users reduce their dependence on hospital-based and crisis mental health services.
