Basis Charter School ranked No. 1 in U.S. by Newsweek

Basis Charter has two campuses founded in 1998 by economists Olga and Michael Block, who aimed to create a model for the New American school under the charter school law. The school serves middle- and high-school students in grades five through 12. It notes that there are no other Tucson schools that made the list.
