ABSTRACT
The article reports on the inclusion of patient education for surgical infection control in the U.S. Sharon B. Hampton, nurse at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Canter in Houston, states that the improper hand washing is the number one way nosocomial infections are spread. Proper education of patient is important for the prevention of surgical infection and hand washing is preferred to be at the top of the list.
