ABSTRACT
The article presents the analysis to the novel "Die Entstehung des Doktor Faustus: Roman eines Romans," by Thomas Mann. The novel Die Enstehung has a surface of autobiography on Mann doing the novel. The Die Entstehung works based on structural principle that serves make internal coherence in place of unified plot which defines characteristics of postwar literary narrative. Mann, according to the author is a literary protagonist.
