ABSTRACT
The article reports on a survey which has revealed that Southeast Michigan executives favor spending on the environment if it yields a return, or if it benefits the public. According to the survey of 400 business owners, managers and department heads for the periodical "Crain's Detroit Business" and Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP, some 90 percent of respondents favor the idea encouraging alternative energy as a major new industry in Michigan.
