ABSTRACT
The author focuses on the life and works of Georgina von Etzdorf, British designer with international recognition. Von Etzdorf pursued her fine arts career at the Camberwell School of Art in London, England where she studied painting for two years. In 1981, she agreed with her friends Martin Simcock and Jonathan Docherty to form a partnership for a design house. Her screen printed silk "Rockets" was the signature piece of her exhibition "Color, Light, Surface: Contemporary Fabrics" at the Cooper-Hewitt Museum in New York in 1990.
