ABSTRACT
One parameter of barre is the effect of heat variations in texturizing on the dyeability of man-made fibers. Three yarns (nylon, polypropylene and polyester) were texturized by throwsters under controlled conditions, and a careful study made of their dyeability. Instrumental measurements were utilized to emphasize differences in dyeability when the fabrics texturized at various temperatures were dyed under different conditions of time, temperature or dyebath chemicals.
