The article reports on the flourishing of green meetings and the move of planners and hoteliers toward sustainability. As chief executive officer (CEO) of First Affirmative Financial Network, George Gay plans the annual SRI in the Rockies Conference, a model of social responsibility. His request for proposal entails extensive questions regarding a hotel's sustainability efforts. Jennifer Dela-Cruz of RBC helped to draft the company's blueprint for green meetings. So far, the company is not requiring that meeting hotels have green policies in place.
