ABSTRACT
The article presents an outlook on the political risk, economic risk and business environment in the Czech Republic for 2008. The reform policy of the administration of Prime Miniester Mirek Topolanek has always been criticized. The republic's bank sector, meanwhile, is projected to grow by the end of 2008. The plan by coal miner New World Resources to have an initial public offering on the Prague Stock Exchange is viewed to impact securities listings in the region.
