ABSTRACT
The article presents an outlook on the political risk, economic risk and business environment in Hungary for 2008. It is viewed that the departure of the Alliance of Free Democrats will have an impact on the government's spending and budget deficit. The National Bank of Hungary is also projected to increase its interest rate policy by the end of the year. The shift in investment from pension funds towards equities is predicted to continue through 2008.
