ABSTRACT
The article reports that plastic Nalgene water bottles made with bisphenol A (BPA) will be pulled from store shelves because of growing consumer concern over whether the chemical poses a health risk. Nalgene's parent, Nunc International, plans to substitute its Nalgene Outdoor line of polycarbonate plastic containers with BPA-free alternatives. The move came after Canada's health ministry, Health Canada, announced it would ban the import and sale of polycarbonate baby bottles containing BPA.
