ABSTRACT
This article discusses the Glasgow 2020 project in Scotland. The project had three dimensions: it was about the city of Glasgow; it was about cities generally; and it was about how we think about the future. The three strands came together to make Glasgow 2020 a unique project and intervention, and an attempt to reimagine the city through the idea of the stories people tell. It involved the support of every public agency in the city, including the city council, Scottish Enterprise, the Health Board, the universities, art school and music academy, and the fire and police services.
