ABSTRACT
The article reports on the decrease of bedding shipments for the first quarter of 2008 in Alexandria, Virginia. According to the report of International Sleep Products Association (ISPA), there is a 4.6% unit decline with a 6% decline in the dollar value of bedding shipments. In addition, the average unit selling price of the furniture industry, which is typically on the upswing, has dropped by 1.4%.
