ABSTRACT
The article reports that German commercial broadcasters are seeing Austria as lucrative untapped market. German broadcasters have been pouring across the border, buying up commercial television licenses in Austria with an eye to creating new national networks. Last year, ProSiebenSat.1, Germany's largest commercial broadcaster, acquired small Vienna-based regional channel Puls4 and is rebranding it as a national channel targeting female viewers.
