ABSTRACT
An encyclopedia entry for "hand washing facility" is presented. Stipulated under Regulation No 852/2004 of the European Commission on the hygiene of foodstuffs, an adequate number of wash basins is to be available in a food premises which are suitably located and designated for cleaning hands. The facilities for washing food must be separated from the hand washing facility.
