ABSTRACT
The article focuses on Marco Mueller, Dieter Kosslick, and Thierry Fremaux, directors of the Venice, Berlin and Cannes film festivals, respectively. The three men manage the three most influential film festivals in Europe, a job where art and commerce co-exist. They are responsible not only for presenting motion pictures deemed to have artistic merit, but films which can attract worldwide distribution agreements as well.
