ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the development of an online Carbon Offsets Guide as a resource for businesses, government agencies and individuals seeking to offset carbon emissions. The online information resource has been initiated by Global Sustainability at RMIT University in Melbourne and Victoria's Environmental Protection Agency. It is noted that the offset carbon guide provides prospective purchasers a comprehensive and independent directory of carbon offset providers, prices, project locations and accreditation standards. The guide also highlights the significant differences in the price of carbon, ranging from less than $10 to more than $50 per tonne.
