ABSTRACT
The article discusses the use of acid-stable and silica-based stationary phases for high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). It believes that acid-stable HPLC stationary phases are very important for improving the peak efficiency and shape of basic compounds. It offers step-by-step instructions in preparation of silica-based hyper-crosslinked (HC) stationary phases. It cites that silica-based for HPLC stationary phases shows significantly enhanced acid and thermal stability.
