ABSTRACT
The article reports that Charles J. Gillespie is the sixth marine hose sales executive who pleaded guilty before the Houston federal district court to one count of violating the Sherman Antitrust Act. According to the U.S. Justice Department, Gillespie participated in the cartel from at least 2000 until the agency broke it up in May 2007. The charges allege that Gillespie attended meetings and engaged in telephone and e-mail discussions to fix prices and allocate market share among customers.
