ABSTRACT
The article reports that the profitability of the food service programs launched by convenience store operators in the U.S. has decreased in the year 2008 due to an increase in commodity prices and packaging and transportation costs. According to Steve Loehr, the vice president of operations support for Kwik Trip Inc., the prices of food ingredients have increased a lot.
