ABSTRACT
The article offers news briefs related to sports for people with disabilities in the U.S. The U.S. Curling Team won the first Medal and secured a spot in the 2009 World Wheelchair Curling Championships and the 2010 Paralympic Games. The Mid-America Paralyzed Veterans of America Sooner Shootout of the National Wheelchair Billiards Tournament Series was held in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The 30th anniversary of the Bluegrass Invitational Wheelchair Basketball Tournament was held in February 2008.
