The article focuses on a study of lesbian mothers regarding their experiences with their children's teachers. Among the study's participants involving 12 mothers, five had biological children while others had adopted ones. Respondents desired teachers of their children to have distinct sets of beliefs, practices, and knowledge. Mothers wanted teachers to be open-minded, have progressive political beliefs, and support diverse sexual orientations. Some of the participants even described teachers as 'vicious, venomous, and a nightmare.'
