The article offers information on the significance of the use of Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM) tool for managing hospitals in the U.S. The CAPM is an important tool used by managers and individuals to analyze the relationship between risk and rates of return. Such system can also help measure portfolio risk and the return in which an individual or organization can expect for taking the risk. It is the ratio of the movements of an individual investment relative to the movements of overall market. It can be calculated using daily, weekly or monthly historical data viewed over a year or greater.
