The article discusses the benefits of study groups. Research indicates the increasing popularity of such groups among financial planners. A successful study group will have clearly delineated goals and expectations, and includes a number of compatible personalities from diverse backgrounds. Several successful groups are briefly described. William Harris of WH Cornerstone Investments participates in a group that uses the case-study method. Ryan Huey of Perryman Financial Advisory Inc. joined a group that focuses on topics related to practice management.
