The article discusses various issues and topics pertaining to different concepts of fabric designs in Japan. It was said that stitched patterns of the rural northern part of the nation were contrasted with the finer stitched and bound patterns of the traditional shibori center. The country also has several shibori shop curtains, with subtle shadings of indigo on layered wallhangings by Hideo Yamaki. Tension between the Eastern and Western values was believed to have existed, in which their text patterns indicates that they are deeply interconnected.
