ABSTRACT
The article discusses research being done on the surgical and non-surgical treatment of medial collateral ligament rupture in patients with anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. It references two studies by Jyrki Halines et al, presented at the 2007 Annual Meeting of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports and Medicine and at the 2007 International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine Congress. Statistical differences in post-operative range of motion, stability and Lysholm scores are reported.
