ABSTRACT
The article discusses the use of fire smoke dampers to protect duct and air transfer openings through shaft enclosure. It says that shaft enclosures in multi-story building solve the trouble of how to get utilities from floor to floor. It cites that there are several factors on how a fire smoke damper responds to a fire, whether the building is designed with a mechanical system or a passive smoke control system
