ABSTRACT
The article discusses the disease and its treatment of a ten-year-old boy presented with a two-day history of nausea, vomiting, malaise, and fatigue as well as increase pain, redness, and swelling in some parts of his body. In addition, the patient has taken folic acid and methotrexate for the treatment of his dermatomyositis. According to the authors, the child has polyarticular septic arthritis which he should undergo blood culture and surgical consultation and take broad-spectrum antibiotics. They noted that the patient's fever was abated after several days of intravenous antibiotics and he was discharged from hospital because of his improvement.
