This article reports that Italian cartel authority AGCM has been investigating a number of Enel subsidiaries over incorrect commercial practices. The probe relates to misleading tariff promotions and customer complaints that they have been switched from regulated to free-market tariffs for gas and power supplies without their consent. Enel has promised to co-operate with the AGCM. The regulator has ruled out fining Enel, despite clear evidence that it was slow to respond to initial customer complaints.
