Gujarat can emerge as global pharma hub: KPMG

The article reports on a paper issued by KPMG which says that Gujarat, India is poised to capture emerging opportunities to become a global pharmaceutical hub. It states that the emergence of special economic zones (SEZ) in the city will possibly create a pharmaceutical market with scale and infrastructure at par with international standards. A strength, weakness, opportunities and threat (SWOT) analysis conducted by KPMG indicates that the state can capitalise on SEZ-led exports and research and development (R&D).
