ABSTRACT
The author discusses about the breeding of Rosa (R.) gigantea. This climbing rose is a native of India, Burma and China. Some of the notable breeders of this rose are India's Viru and Girija Viraraghavan and Australia's Alister Clark. This rose's ability to flower in winter and grow evergreen foliage offers breeding opportunities for rose hybridizers.
