Total: $2.2B expansion set for Texas refinery

The article reports on the $2.2 billion expansion of the refinery of Total SA in Port Arthur, Houston, Texas. The entry notes that the project will employ 2,200 people and will be commissioned in 2011. Also cited are facilities of the refinery which include the construction of a 50,000-barrel-a-day coker, a desulfurization unit and a vacuum distillation unit. In relation to this, the expansion refinery will increase processing of heavy and sour crude oil which will raise total output of the company's products to 12 million tons.
