ABSTRACT
The article reports on the position taken by members of the Society of Collision and Repair Specialists (SCRS) against insurance abuses in 2008. The entry notes that SCRS members participated in a survey to identify acts of blatant disregard by insurance companies. The survey reportedly confirms that some insurance companies have been known to use deception in making referrals, damage the integrity of repairers that are not part of an insurer's Direct Repair Program (DRP), or refuse to reimburse for proper repairs.
