The article concerns the proposal of the House of Lords to reform the whistle-blowing law in Great Britain. Amendments to a bill that would require employment tribunals to publicise details of whistle-blowing claims were shelved making it harder for unscrupulous employers to cover up wrongdoing in the workplace. The article suggests that employers must have a whistle-blowing policy in which workers are entitled to bring claims in an employment tribunal if they are victimised or dismissed as a result of making protected disclosures.
