B&Q aims to put women in positions of power

The article concerns the plan of B&Q to recruit more women into senior roles as part of its rebranding scheme focusing on women empowerment. According to its director of organisation development, Nathan Clements, the company needed to reflect the broader talent pool of women. He cited research showing that 80 per cent of buying decisions in the home were made by women. Clements added that the current focus was addressing the gender balance in opinion-forming functions, including store, regional and general managers.
