The article focuses on changes, including an increase of white meat chicken dishes and an increase in television advertising spending, which has been seen in the fast food industry of the U.S. in 2008. A discussion of new menu offerings which have debuted at several fast food restaurants, including Wendy's and Kentucky Fried Chicken, is presented.
