Huawei unveils new 700 MHz base station product

The article presents an announcement from Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. that its network solutions for 700 MHz spectrum will be available in the first quarter of 2009. Based on unified base-transceiver station platform technology, Huawei said it plans to aggressively target U.S. customers with the equipment. Using its multimode, multiband 3900 series base station, Huawei's 700 MHz base-station portfolio uses software-defined radios and will support dual mode operation for CDMA and LTE as well as UMTS and LTE technology combinations.
