ABSTRACT
The article highlights the 2007 winners of the Creative Promise Awards for Student Excellence sponsored by the Surface Design Association (SDA) in Sebastopol, California. SDA handles yearly sponsorship programs to students, and winners are chosen from the artists' submission by a selection committee working with SDA's Director of Education. Celia Butler, a Bachelor of Fine Arts student from the Kansas City Art Institute, and Jaya Miller, Master of Fine Arts from the Cranbook Academy of Art, are the two winners of the 2007 Creative Promise Awards for Student Excellence.
