ABSTRACT
The article discusses the factors that should be considered when building, designing and specifying boilers and boiler systems. When designing a boiler system, the environmental lifecycle of the design is suggested to be considered in order to protect the system from premature failure mostly cause by thermal shock, poor water quality and misapplication. While in selecting boilers, specifically condensing gas boilers, efficiency and operating cost are advised to be prioritized.
