ABSTRACT
The article discusses the future trends of green buildings in the U.S. given predictions about climate change and global warming. The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) reports that sustainable homes will represent 5-10 percent of all housing by 2010. Meanwhile, sustainable buildings include issues of affordability, performance, and labor requirements that would meet the growing market. It is noted that prices for sustainable technologies are saving purchase and installation costs.
