ABSTRACT
The article reports on an increase in the amount of sales of regional produce from eight British suppliers due to the pioneer supplier scout scheme called "Supply Something New" developed by Food from Britain and Sainsbury's. Included in the producers which have doubled their sales are Organic Patisserie, Battle Bakehouse, and Farrington Oils. It mentions that the scheme makes it easier for small and medium-sized suppliers to highlight their products to the big retailers.
