ABSTRACT
The article offers instructions for the usage of the search engine software, Spotlight. It is stated that Spotlight gives a quick and easy way to locate and open scattered files and misplaced documents, as well as programs, contacts, and events. Spotlight is an essential tool for finding anything on Macintosh computers. Spotlight sorts results into categories such as Documents, Folders, Images, and Messages. Within each category, results are organized by when they were last viewed or saved, so the things worked on recently will be at the top of the lists. One can drag categories around to alter their order. One can also choose to not display certain categories at all, by deselecting them.
