ABSTRACT
The article announces the availability of free Oracle® Clusterware, a portable cluster software that groups together individual servers so that they can cooperate as a single system, to Oracle Unbreakable Linux support customers at the Basic and Premier support levels. These customers will be able to download and deploy the software at no extra licence fee or support cost. Another advantage of Oracle® Clusterware is that it can operate independently and helps ensure the protection of an application. Angelo Pruscino, vice president of Oracle Server Technologies at Oracle, said that this development is another proof of Oracle's commitment to advancing Linux through technology enhancements and enterprise-quality Linux support.
