ABSTRACT
The article offers two health-related news briefs in Canada. The British Columbia has become the first province to include acupuncture as a supplementary benefit under its health insurance plan. A report by the government of Manitoba indicates that HIV infection is spreading more rapidly in heterosexual First Nations populations than other ethnic groups.
