The article focuses on the School of Visual Arts at the University of North Texas, Denton, Texas. The School of Visual Arts has the largest art program and considered the best in the U.S. In its Bachelor of Fine Arts, majoring in fibers, one must take courses in art appreciation, art history, design, drawing and crafts, in addition to specific course work for the major. In its graduate programs, the School of Visual Arts attempts to exert more effort to develop the competencies necessary for effective leadership roles in art as expected of practicing professionals in the field of designers, researchers, college professors, administrators. This article also offers information on the facilities, faculty and the artworks of students and educators.
