The article provides information on the works of textile designer Jhane Barnes. It states that Barnes has joined the team of mathematicians and computer programmers Dana Cartwright and Bill Jones to create a mode of communication that would enable her to transmit visual concepts in her design. Moreover, it notes that through Barnes' relationship with her team as well as her design skills, she has used mathematics to describe the world of textile. Furthermore, it stresses that Barnes uses her mathematical models in generating designs with fundamentals of different visual metaphors in science.
