ABSTRACT
The article offers information on the clothes from garmentmakers Hulda Bridgeman, Anna Carlson, and Carol Lee Shanks. Bridgeman states that tucking is used to create texture in their garments. She also mentions the changes that results to a different effect in their garments. Carlson admits that she strives to create clothing in which the creation of the fabrics and designing the garments happen simultaneously. Shanks reveals that texture helps her in creating both aesthetically pleasing silhouettes and wearable garments.
